Dear Reader,
I’m sorry that I do not have much insight into your story. And yes, you could write to me, or go see a pastor, or make an appointment with a therapist. You could pour out your past with all the sorrows in your heart, but my friend, the past is not the place where you ought to be. Here is the important point I want you to get from this blog today. Jesus set you free almost 2000 years ago! Yes! He did! He really did!
He tells us in His Word that today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2 He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) That word “salvation” in this scripture comes from the Greek word “soteria.” In most churches being “saved” means having your ticket punched for heaven! Well, that just doesn’t do the word justice. The Greek word is “soteria,” and it means so much more. It means to rescue, be safe, to deliver and have health, and that’s not just physical health, but mental and spiritual well-being. Now you know what is God’s will for you today and every day! Hallelujah!
The FACTS of what happened to you in the past, actually did happen. I get that. Many traumas that have occurred in our lives are life altering. The fear and pain they have left us scarred with are real. The facts are this: bad things happen to almost everyone, even those who love God. Why? Because we live in a fallen world, the devil hates us and we don’t understand all that God wants us to know.
Your past is facts, but the TRUTH is, Jesus doesn’t want you to live according to the facts. He doesn’t want you to live in the past anymore. Here’s a truly rude awakening. Are you ready for it? Ok, here it comes. Whether you live according to the facts or according to God’s truth – it’s up to you!!! It’s your choice!! When you make this one earth-shaking decision, to change your thinking and live according to what God believes about you, you’ll take a giant leap of faith towards freedom. Choose now! Choose to have His life! Choose the peace of God, and everything that God has already freely given to you. Choose to believe what the Word of God tells you. Choose it as much and as often as you need to. For some of you reading this, that might be from one minute to the next! That’s okay. The Lord thinks that’s great! Everything that God has is free for the taking. Then you will begin to live by faith. Here are a few scriptures on faith to encourage you:
Mark 11:22-24: So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Romans 1:17 For in it (the Gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
1 John 5:14-15: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I hope this all makes sense to you. Marinate yourself in Romans 8, because that is who God says you are. There is a lot of deliverance in my videos. Watch them over and over. Pray the prayers with me. Focus on Jesus. I did a video about that. It’s called, “I met Jesus and this is what He wants you to know.” I have over 80 videos online. I have poured myself out to the world in those videos. Let them pour over you. The truth is you are already free, no matter what the world, your feelings or the devil says about you! That is the Gospel.
Blessings,
Deborah
